SHIREE BULAG SPA, “GEYSER” SAND

Local elder BATAA Dorj from 9th bagh told in Autumn of 2006:

-In the west pf Durs Pine forest of Kharaa river these is a Shiree Bulag spa. This spa locates near the Kharaa Dari Ekh Monastery and monks from the monastery used the water from the spa. They installed a rock with chant scriptures to protect the spa from bad things. Now the rock sets into the swamp and only the top is visible. In the right side of the rock there is a sand bay and in clear it looks like it is burning. So the locals call it geysar sand. Unfortunately, stranger family moved in and lived near the geysar and polluted the area.
